 Pregnancy weight usually sheds off a few weeks after giving birth. However, there some women who still look as if they are pregnant weeks after giving birth. It may look like you have gained fat but it is actually more of bodily fluids. Fluid retention causes pudgier hands, arms and body. When you do lose this weight, your body will shrink back considerably.

When you sweat it out, extra fluid will be reduced. Ask your doctor first when the best time to hit the gym is. You can go to the gym once or twice a week depending on how much time you can spare for it. For the rest of the days, you can always do home exercises such as sit ups. Walking around the park or jogging is also a nice method to tone your body up.

Your exercise routine does not have to be super fancy. You can start up with easier methods. Starting with an easier routine makes it easier to stick with it. Some women who thinks the exercise routine is impossible for them to do skip exercising most of the time. It has to be something doable.

Cutting back on salt intake

Fluid retention gets worse when you eat a lot of salty foods or foods riddled with MSG. This is why you feel bloated. If you cut back on salt and MSG, you will see the difference in body size. Notice that you can already fit in your jeans.

Drink lots of water still

Despite fluid retention, it is still ideal to drink lots of water. If you are going to lose fluid due to exercise, you should replace it with new water. This time, fluid circulation will be better. It will help flush out toxins and other impurities from the body.

Get lots of sleep

If you can't have complete sleep the night before, you can try cat napping. If your baby is taking a nap, take a nap too. It will help normalize hormone production. Also, it helps reduce food binging. Those who feel sluggish during the day will want to eat more to replenish lost energy.

Give yourself a year to lose pregnancy weight. While celebrities may have shed off their baby weight in less than 7 months, we average people do not have experts surrounding us like them. Your standards should not be set too high. If you stick to healthier food and more active lifestyle, you can get back in shape as soon as possible.
